Which LED spots porch do you need?
We have just told you that you have the choice between LED recessed spots and LED surface-mounted spots. Below, you can read about the differences between the two.
LED recessed spotlights for the porch
LED recessed spotlights are built into the beams of your porch. The spots are therefore nicely concealed, making them (almost) equal to the beams. You should have enough space in the beams of your porch for recessed spots.
The recessed spotlights for your porch are available in set form. The advantage of these sets is that you only need one transformer with connector and you can keep it at the beginning of your porch. You can hide these behind the click profile of your porch or in a wall box. The spots come with 5 metres of cable and if this is not enough you can always order extension cables. In this way you can easily lay the cables to the connector and plug them in. In this way no 230 volt (high voltage) runs through the beams of your porch. The transformer converts the 230 volts to 3.6 volts (low voltage).
The sets are specially designed for porches and are therefore Plug & Play. You can decide for yourself whether you want a set with 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 LED recessed spotlights. Do you need more than 12 spots? That's also possible by combining several sets. We advise you to contact our LED specialists if you want to install more than 12 spots in your porch.
The porch spots can be controlled with a LED (push)dimmer, remote control, with our own app or with an on/off switch. Do you already have equipment in your home that communicates with Home Domotica (home automation system) Somfy? LED surface-mounted spotlights for the porch
In contrast to recessed spotlights, surface mounted spots are placed on the beams. Don't you have enough space in the beams of your porch to surface-mounted spotlights? Then this is a suitable way to illuminate your porch.
The surface-mounted spots for the porch are also sold in Plug & Play sets. These sets also consist of 4 to 12 spots with only one transformer and connector. The surface-mounted spotlight sets can also be controlled with a LED (push)dimmer, with a remote control, with a switch, or with our own app. Communication with Home Domotics systems, such as Somfy, is also possible with the right surface-mounted spotlight set.
What are the most important specifications for porch spots?

There is one specification which is important for both recessed spotlights and surface-mounted spots. Below you can read which one it is and what you should pay attention to.
IP value of LED spots porch
A spotlight which you place in your porch should be protected against dust and water to a certain extent. You can tell this from the IP value of LED spots. For porch spots, we recommend choosing spots with at least IP-44. A spotlight with a higher IP value is, of course, also good. A spotlight with IP-value 44 is well protected against dust and is splash-proof. In our range, you will only find spots with at least IP-44, so you no longer have to worry about that.
