What types of LED indoor lighting are there?

In our collection, you'll find recessed LED spotlights to light up the interior of your home. LED recessed spotlights are LED spotlights that are built into the ceiling. So they're beautifully integrated into your decor.

You have a choice of recessed LED spotlights with a GU10 fitting or recessed LED spotlights with a transformer. GU10 recessed LED spotlights are connected directly to the 230-volt power line in your ceiling. Therefore, the GU10 recessed LED spotlights operate on high voltage.

Recessed LED spotlights with a transformer operate on low voltage. The recessed LED spotlights are controlled by the transformer. The transformer ensures that the spots do not operate on 230 volts, but on 3.6 volts. The transformer converts the high voltage (230 volts) to a safe, low voltage (3.6 volts).

You can replace the LED spotlight in a GU10 recessed LED spotlight without having to replace the light fitting. However, in the case of recessed LED spotlights with a transformer, you will also have to replace the light fitting if anything is defective. Additionally, GU10 spotlights are often larger and higher than recessed LED spotlights with a transformer. So, for GU10 recessed LED spotlights, you'll need more space between the existing ceiling and the false ceiling.

What are the main specifications of LED indoor lights?

The most important specifications for indoor LED lighting are:

- The IP value
- The number of watts and lumens per LED
- Dimmability

The IP value
Indoor LED lights differ in IP value. The IP value of indoor LED lighting shows to what extent the lighting is protected from dust and water. This value consists of two digits. Below, we explain what those digits mean.

IP-20: Indoor LED lighting with this IP value is suitable for rooms that are not damp. These include areas such as your living room, bedroom, or closet.

IP-44: Ideal for all rooms in your home. Lights with this IP value are also suitable for use in your extension. Lights with this IP-rating can withstand dust and slight water.

IP-54: Lighting with this IP rating can withstand dust better than IP-44 lighting and is also splash-proof. These lights are ideal for your porch, bedroom, bathroom, living room, and kitchen.

IP-65: Lighting with an IP-65 rating is completely protected against dust and is splash and spray-proof. You can place these lights anywhere in your home, garden, and porch.

Wattage
To know how much power the interior lighting consumes, look at the wattage. The higher the wattage number, the more power is being consumed.

Dimmability
All our indoor lighting is dimmable. You can control the lighting with the LED dimmer Atlas, push dimmer Novex, with the remote control Moon or with the Hamulight app. With all of them you can dim the lighting!

To use the Moon, Novex and/or app, you need to purchase the wifi LED receiver. When you purchase this receiver, you will receive free access to the app. In the app, it is possible to create several rooms and control them separately. In addition to the receiver, you will also need to purchase the Novex and Moon separately. You do not need a receiver for the LED dimmer Atlas.

Don't want to dim the lights? Then of course you can also connect it to an on/off switch. This is not part of our product range.

Accessories
Accessories can help you during installation or allow you to operate the lights. For example, a hole saw can help you make holes in your ceiling. And the LED rotary dimmer Atlas, wifi LED receiver, Moon remote control and push dimmer Novex help you dim your lights. The wifi LED receiver also allows the system to communicate with Google Home and Amazon Alexa.

Would you like to connect your lighting to a motion detector? You can! Our motion detector has a range of up to 14 meters and switches on and off automatically. You can set the time and activation level yourself by means of rotary knobs.
